Interactive workshop for business owners with 2 to 49 employees who have concerns or questions about the employee exposures and problems that the owner of a small business faces and what precautionary should be taken to avoid or prepare for such problems. The topics to be covered will include federal labor laws, 1099 vs. W2 classifications, I9’s, overtime calculations, probationary periods, contesting unemployment claims, employment “at-will”, disciplinary action, employee handbooks, Pre-tax Section 125 Plans and … the new Cobra and Premium Subsidy Notice Requirements. Registration will be limited to 2 people per business. The formal speed networking session starts at 5:30 p.m. sharp. It is recommended that you register as early at 5:15. This 8 week clinic is great for beginners or people who would like to get back in the game. Lessons will start promptly at 5:30 PM and conclude at 6:30 PM.
